Our vision is to continue to push the boundaries for excellence in modern civil engineering, highway design and transportation infrastructure.

Mission

Our mission is to provide clients with a civil engineering consultancy service for all types of roads scheme and development proposals that impact on the highway network. We provide a highly skilled, highly educated, motivated and professional workforce, using our expertise, market knowledge, common sense, practical experience and state of the art equipment and technology.

People

Within Strategic Highways, we are only as good as the people we employ and therefore we seek to treat all our employees with respect and understanding. We have implemented detailed employment policies and procedures and achieve ‘best practice standards’ in our human resource provisions. We are committed to the training and continuous development of our people. We carry out regular appraisals, placing emphasis on developmental training, rather than merely specific technical training.

We have a strong health and safety culture which is reinforced by quarterly directors’ health and safety audits and an employee health and safety committee.

Community

Community and stakeholder involvement sits at the heart of many of our projects, from highway design of major transportation infrastructure to development control advice.

As so much of what we do impacts on communities and the environment, we recognise the importance of ensuring that everyone with an interest has a say in what happens within the company.

To manage concerns effectively, we comply with our clients’ environmental requirements. Where clients have not established clear environmental and community objectives for a commission, we provide appropriate technical advice that contributes to the development of sustainable solutions.
